I’ve been in the throes of research for a couple of my upcoming stories lately. In one of these stories I have a character that has dealing with cancer. One of the things I did to learn about cancer was interview a very dear friend of mine who had suffered through a recent battle with leukemia. Listening to her speak candidly of the horrific experience touched me down to my core. She let me read diary entries of her darkest days, gave me a blow by blow account of what treatment was like. I cried all the way home in the car as I realized what a beautiful and strong person my friend is. A true hero was right in front of me, and I didn't even know it. It makes me wonder how many other incredible stories are happening all around me if I only had eyes to see the truth. It has been a very humbling experience.
Congratulations! You've just discovered the Mysterious Blog of Sheila A. Nielson
This is where I post hints, work-in-progress concept items, and information about stories that I'm currently working on, but are not published yet. Many of them will never see the light of publication, but then again--maybe they will.
I will not be posting any outside links to this page, so only those who know their way around Blogger will be able to find it. Now that you've found it, keep the secret and let others find it on their own.
